The 'double vision' of the kingdom that Jesus teaches us in the Beatitudes reminds us that God is already at work in us, in our lives, and invites us to join in, to be bearers of the light of Christ in a shadowy and darkened world.  We are bearers of the light and are transformed, like the Saints before us, into the very presence of Christ in this world.  Our newest saint, Jacob, joins us this day in Holy Baptism and reminds us of the promise of God in Jesus Christ!
